Delusion is full of action at every turn and is a page-turner for anyone who likes fantasy, LitRPG, science fiction and even supernatural. The main character, Kitty, is a smart, gritty, strong and brave female character. The book goes back and forth between Kitty's real-life issues while she tries to evade the US Navy and escape to Hong Kong, and her 'western world' game where she immerses herself on an incredible adventure & leads the charge, battling good ol' typical wild-west posse gangs, monsters and more. The writing was detailed and I felt fully immersed in both of Kitty's worlds and invested in each, looking forward to finding out what's going to happen to all the great characters. The character of Kitty kind of reminded me of Stephanie Plum in Janet Evanovich books because she's smart, sassy, funny and her life is full of adventures - and she's a PhD!
