I really enjoyed this book and ended up going on my own Great White Shark dive at the Farallon islands, only to see a jellyfish after 8 hours on a boat and in and out of a cage :( Sadly, my best friend of 40+ years, Josh, was dying of breast cancer and we always said we would dive in a cage with great whites. Even though we didn’t see any, being together is a memory I cherish. And, it’s probably for the better that I didn’t see a great white because I’d probably never want to go in the water again, especially now living in Australia. The Farallon Islands are an exciting place to be with a lot of interesting history, especially the large sharks, and this book captures so much of that.
