Sometimes a novel comes along that touches all your heartstrings, makes you feel deeply, and becomes unforgettable, and this is one of those books. The main character, Marie-Laure, is a true heroin, regardless of her circumstances, and her father is the kind of man anyone would dream to have as a parent (I could say more but not going to give anything away). The writing is absolutely breathtaking and you are immersed in a world full of sadness, tragedy, joy, and even beauty. What a novel! I give it 5+ stars, highly recommend, and wish that all young adults worldwide had to read a book like this for enlightenment, insight, and inspiration.
